Reports are now emerging that the Palestinian people are facing or may soon face a forced displacement out of their homeland, which will require millions of dollars in aid funding to cover the administrative costs alone. These refugees, left with no other option, are turning to social media and other sources to plead for monetary and material assistance.
Although mutual aid has proven effective for some, it is far from an ideal solution in the face of this widespread suffering. Unfortunately, centralized aid has been stalled for a number of reasons, and it is now clear that an innovative hybrid aid model may be necessary.
Goodwill Caravan Steps Up
To meet this ever-growing need, Goodwill Caravan, a London-based nonprofit, is using their platform to amplify the voices of those in need and deliver aid in a variety of forms to the people of Gaza.
